Awesome - we'll be back and we'll recommend to friends

My husband and I stayed at Stormy Point, arriving on Mother's Day. We did a time share exchange as we had never been to Branson before. We were so impressed with Stormy Point that we bought in as owners!
We were in an "immaculate" two bedroom cottage, one of the ones on a higher location and we could see the lake in the distance from our windows. I even saw the Branson Belle cruising on the lake. Our patio at the back of the cottage faced an area of trees, so we even had privacy there.
Our cottage was beautifully decorated (nautical theme) and very, very clean and well supplied. I loved having the separate laudry room within the unit and we had three large flat screened tv''s in the unit. One of the village's best features is that you have privacy and quiet within your own unit, no sharing walls or floors as in condominiums.
We had one of the best vacations of our lives (and we're in our 60's) in Branson and we are returning to Stormy Point again in December. The area is quite beautiful and Summerwinds is expanding and building and once done, it will be a really great resort area. As one reviewer on this site wrote, there is much going on. Eventually the old Cedars Resort area will be leveled (Summerwinds is currently using the laundry facilities there) and there will be access to the lake, with a restaurant overlooking it.
They do charge for internet in the units but not in the clubroom. Although we had internet access via other means in our unit and reception was very good. The fireplace is a nice ammenity, as is the jacuzzi tub in one of the two bathrooms. The two bedroom units have a bedroom and smaller bath downstairs and a large bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
Since we were on a higher area of the village, we did have lots and lots of steps to get to our front door. Not too much fun carrying luggage up all those stairs. So, if you are older, you might want to request a unit that is on a lower level. Of course because we were higher, we did have some nice views of the village and lake areas.

LOVED IT!

This is a wonderful place to stay! It’s like being transported to a different world. Our cottage was perfect in every way. We walked around the neighborhood and up into the lighthouse taking many wonderful pictures. The whole area was decorated for fall. Even the lamp-post in our front yard was decorated with cornstalks and flowers. It is a very short drive from the main drag, but not bad at all, and very nice and quiet. We loved it and can’t wait to go back! When booking on Expedia, there was not one word about "time-share" ever mentioned to us, which we appreciated as this is a time-share community. But, no pressure sale when booking on Expedia.

Silver Dollar City was terrific and beautifully decorated for Fall. I was not sure my teenagers would enjoy it , but we had a wonderful time. Be sure and see their musical production.

My husband and I purchased last October and couldn't be happier. We went for our first stay in April and had the time of our lives. The resort is first-class and, believe it or not, will only get better as completion gets closer.

The cottages at Stormy Point are great! I loved the idea of not being bothered by cleaning staff, etc. unless we needed something...and then they were there promptly to deliver.

I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a top-notch timeshare in the Branson area - so much to do.

We have scheduled a week in June 2009 and are bringing our daughters family. Can't wait!
